Modern & Pop Culture.

How is the advertising world dominated by images of popular culture?
They use celebrities to endorse products or services, for example Adidas, who uses David Beckham, the famous England soccer player as their ambassador. They use such celebrities to influence & persuade the consumers to buy their products.

How does the images that was seen (in the exhibition) applied in the contemporary advertising?
Feng Zheng Jie’s works are influenced by fashion, advertising & pop art, define a new & updated vision of Chinese women. They images are exaggerated & dream-like, far from reality. Likewise, in advertising, the images we see on the media are usually very flawless & unreal.

How do I fit in the contemporary culture?
As an aspiring designer, it is important that I keep myself up to date with the latest contemporary trend & culture so as to achieve an understanding to my target demographics.

1. Why do images, picture & art have a powerful impact on us?
- it tells us how to react to it
- it tells us what to think of it
- it tells us what to feel
- it affects our PERCEPTION on others & what others think of us

It influences us to think differently on life.


2. Why is the Modern World dominated by unrealistic images of the body?
- Humans are easily influences by the opinions of others & they tend to stay rooted to their CULTURES & the values created by the society. With every generation, new teachings are passed down, hence they are always improvising, to create something human MORE human.

Humans don't like REALITY & everyone has a primitive instinct to EXAGGERATE! & they stay rooted to their CULTURES!
